One person answers these, usually within two working days. Tell us your device and OS version and, for anything billing-related, the store account you bought with — it saves a round trip.

Subscription & billing

What does Simple Shred cost?

Simple Shred is in early access, so right now the full ten-week protocol is free — no card, no trial clock. When early access ends it becomes a subscription: €7.99 per month or €49.99 per year (about €4.17 a month), starting with a 7-day free trial. Prices are in euros; your store shows your local price.

How do I cancel?

Subscriptions are billed by Apple or Google, not by us, so they are cancelled in your store account:

Cancel before the free trial ends and you are charged nothing. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for.

I paid but the app still shows the paywall

Open the paywall screen and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you are signed in with the same Apple or Google account you bought with — purchases belong to the store account, not to the device. If it still does not unlock, email us with your store receipt and we will fix it.

Refunds

Refunds are handled by the store that took the payment. For Apple, use reportaproblem.apple.com; for Google Play, use your order history in the Play Store. We cannot issue store refunds ourselves, but mail us and we will help you with the request.

Switching device or phone

Install the app, open the paywall screen and tap Restore purchases with the same store account. Note that your checklist history and photos live on the old device — they are not transferred, because nothing is stored on our servers.

Using the app

Notifications are not arriving

Check that notifications are allowed for Simple Shred in your device settings, and that Focus / Do Not Disturb is not suppressing them. Reminders are scheduled locally on your phone, so they also stop if the app is force-quit for a long period on some Android builds — reopening the app reschedules them.

The camera or photo library will not open

The app asks for camera and photo permissions the first time you attach a photo. If you declined, enable them again under Settings → Simple Shred (iOS) or App info → Permissions (Android).

My weight went up — did I do something wrong?

Almost certainly not. Day-to-day scale weight moves with water, salt, food volume and sleep. The protocol reads your weekly trend, not single days. See why the scale is not moving.

Privacy & your data

Your checklist, photos and plan are stored on your own device — there is no account and we do not upload them. To remove everything, see data & account deletion, or read the full privacy policy.

Health note. Simple Shred is a habit and accountability tool, not medical advice. If a protocol is affecting your health, stop and talk to a doctor.
